Hi, my name is Devi Pillai and I am a first year Engineering student aspiring to specialize in the Biomedical and Chemical field of Engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, Canada.
My goal, as an aspiring female engineer, is to go against societal normalities and to make an imprint in the field of engineering. Personally, my interests have sparked in the advancements and innovations with biomedical/chemical technology.
As a part of my first year ENGINEERING IP13 course, I was tasked with various collaborative projects throughout both semesters (some completed and some still on-going), in the Design Studio. These projects strengthened my knowledge in the different skills that are required and utilized in Engineering - Coding (Python), CAD Modelling (Autodesk Inventor), and Granta EduPack (Materials Science).
